Course Description:

Correct grammar is necessary for successful communication on the job, in school, and in your personal life.  English grammar is not always easy to understand, and the rules can be tricky.  Learn what part a verb, subject, conjunction, or comma plays in constructing sentences.

Sample In-class Exercise Question:  The sentences below are punctuated incorrectly -   

  1. What can you do to make sure you get 100 on the exam.
  2. Wow, listen to the roar of the ocean.
  3. On November 8th 2008, Barack Obama was elected the 44th president of the United States.
  4. William, J Clinton served as the 42nd president of the US from January 20, 1993 to January 20th 2017."
Target Audience/Advance Preparation:   This workshop is designed to provide a review of the essentials of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and effective sentence structure.
